What the directive asks

The deadline for countries to turn the directive into national law was 7 June 2026. Many are late, so check your own country's rules.

What is inside

  1. Pay gap report

Open your payroll CSV. Get the Article 9 indicators: mean and median gap, variable pay gaps, quartiles and the gap per worker category. Download it as a report.

  2. 5% check

Every worker category at 5% or more is flagged, so you see the problem before it becomes an obligation.

  3. Job ad pay range

A clear pay statement for your vacancy, based on what you already pay for the same work.

  4. Employee pay requests

A ready written answer with the averages for their category, and the date you must answer by.

  5. Deadlines

Which reporting date applies to your headcount.

Why offline

Pay data is some of the most sensitive data a company has. Online tools ask you to upload it. This kit runs in your browser, without a server, an account or an upload.

Questions

Does this make us compliant?

No tool can promise that. The kit does the calculations and drafts the texts. Your national law sets the final rules and forms. Check them, and involve your worker representatives where the law asks for it.

What data do I need?

One row per worker with gender, worker category, annual base pay, annual variable pay and annual hours. Most payroll systems can export this as CSV.

We have fewer than 100 workers. Is this for us?

You do not have to report your pay gap, but the rules on pay ranges in job ads and on answering pay requests apply to you too.
